HSE FIELD OFFICER
Salary: Starting salary £35,000 to £41,000 per annum (dependant on experience) plus benefits

Dragon LNG are recruiting for a HSE Field Officer to join our dedicated and experienced HSE team to support in the operations of our LNG terminal, where safety is our number one priority.
Reporting to the HSE Manager, the role holder will engage and influence across the organisation to promote our health, safety and environmental culture, being a champion of HSE best practice and supporting the company in compliance with HSE regulations and legislation.
The successful candidate will provide a hands-on approach to support the resolution of HSE challenges and issues arising from work activities on site. They will be a point of contact for personal safety risk management and promote and support the implementation of the Dragon LNG integrated HSE and COMAH Major Accident Prevention policy. They must have relevant experience in a HSE environment, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships across the organisation.

The role responsibilities include:
- Supporting the DLNG team to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Carrying out risk assessments, inspections and internal / external health and safety audits.
- Lead or support accident, incident and near miss investigations.
- Produce statistical / management reports.
- Supporting the HSE team to maintain, review and update policies and procedures within HSE and the Environmental Management System.
- Actively influence and monitor safety initiatives across the organisation and support delivery of safety awareness programmes.
- Participate in the Health and Safety Committee.
- Providing advice to DLNG team on Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Actively spending time on site to positively influence correct HSE behaviours.
The successful candidate will have (desired):
- Educated to NEBOSH certificate / diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
- Experience of working in a HSE environment or similar role.
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements associated with an upper tier COMAH installation.
- Competent in risk assessment, risk identification and risk management techniques.
- Knowledge of permit to work and life-saving rules.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
