DRAGON LNG

Our Community

Being a strong community member is pivotal to Dragon.

We regularly run the Waterston Site Community Liaison Committee ensuring concerns and suggestions from the community are discussed and addressed promptly.

The committee includes residents from Blackbridge, Waterston and Llanstadwell, local council and regulatory representatives (NRW) and our industry neighbours in Waterston (Valero Oil Terminal, Wear Point Wind Farm and Egnedol). With our commitment to skills development in Pembrokeshire, investing over £3.5m to date, we work closely with educational partners, directly funding and supporting projects, the flagship being the Dragon Darwin Experience.

We support our employees with their chosen, Volunteering activities through a joint project with Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS), Pembrokeshire Charity of the Year, with fund raising activities organised by our Social Committee and fundraising through match funding their activities.

As a key Pembrokeshire employer providing energy security into the UK, we see a Visitor and Education Centre as an excellent opportunity to provide a quality experience showcasing energy transition knowledge and education for our community, visitors, children and young adults. It will inspire and increase awareness of the natural deep-water port, its surrounding landscape, the Waterway’s industrial history, the present energy transition and future renewables, with skills development and employment opportunities now and into the future.
